National Seniors Australia partnered with  Challenger to investigate how pressures from the cost of living are affecting the lifestyle, retirement finances and the financial security of people aged 50-plus living in Australia.

This investigative snapshot highlights findings from a 2023 survey question about the impact of recent cost of living increases on respondents' lifestyle including:

  • Low or high income households
  • Renters vs Mortgage Payers vs Home Owners
  • Singles and Big Households vs Couples
  • Rural, Remote and Metro
