Summary
Summary: The Alliance, including various associations, is submitting a joint submission to an inquiry regarding the implications of removing refundable franking credits. Self-funded retirees, especially those with low incomes, rely on franking credits to supplement their income. Many self-funded retirees feel that removing franking credits is unfair and will negatively impact their financial security. National Seniors urges the federal Opposition to reconsider the proposed policy to disallow franking credit refunds, as it may lead to greater reliance on the Age Pension.
