Summary
Summary: National Seniors' Response to Gift Card Expiry Dates Consultation National Seniors, a not-for-profit organization representing Australians aged 50 and over, welcomes the opportunity to comment on gift card expiry dates. They advocate for adequate protections against consumer detriment and support a three-year minimum expiry date for gift cards to protect consumer interests. Older Australians expect all gift cards to provide a reasonable minimum period for redemption to ensure they have ample time to use the card. National Seniors would ideally like to see a prohibition on gift card expiry dates to further protect consumers.
