Issues with the current accreditation process, including potential risk aversion among quality assessors. Concerns about the work culture and financial constraints impacting assessment teams. Feedback from members suggests that service providers manipulate conditions before announced visits to meet accreditation standards. Concerns about the low threshold for gathering resident input during audits. Suggestions for improvements, including more frequent unannounced visits and greater consumer focus in assessments. Concerns about the timing of both announced and unannounced site visits not reflecting the 24/7 nature of aged care facilities.
